our story
Derrick and Sarah Brinkman started their design studio, dlb, in 2002 and have spent the last 21 years making homes and businesses in the Central Valley a little bit more beautiful (and a lot more fun!).
Both Derrick and Sarah have a heart for design and out-of-the-box creating. They also share a love for the Central Valley and downtown Visalia. Owning a business that brings even more life to downtown Visalia is a major win in both of their books!
Derrick and Sarah dreamed of a place where locals could go and shop for pieces that gave their home a curated, custom feel without the expense of hiring a full design team… and design bar was born!
